a bit about me:

I'm Bhagya from Sri Lanka,  I'm the Co-founder of an organization named ESHKOL https://www.facebook.com/eshkolsl/ where we create an abundance of food for people in need by supporting and encouraging the installation of gardens on unused land and limited space such as apartments, roof tops, back yards using agri technology too as hydroponics, aqua phonics etc., while increasing diversity, raising awareness for health and wellness, and inspiring and educating youth and various audience to create an economically sustainable system to uplift communities in the country. We work with young people mostly who are in extreme poverty, belonging to disadvantaged groups especially belonging to the tea plantation communities- who are often among the marginalized minority groups in the country. We hope to encourage thousands of people per year starting with young groups to plant and register their gardens which also empowers those who are unemployed/underemployed/malnourished, or have unhealthy diets/suffer from hunger or food insecurity.
