MISSION
By sustainably harvesting wild local products according to their seasonal cycles, and creating space saving planters to encourage growth of urban farming in Sri Lanka, we support all communities in their efforts to grow and prepare food for themselves and their neighbors in need.
OBJECTIVES
1.Coordinate with Eshkol Product development team to get a professional Eshkol website that can drive sales growth
2.Conduct a training program for 500 school children on growing their own food in a school garden 3.Coordinate with the Agricultural Ministry of Sri Lanka to conduct permaculture trainings at the 8 district offices that enable farming communities to learn sustainable organic agriculture using Low cost techniques during dry climate zones.
4. Conduct a National Level training program for established school gardens in the country to encourage more resource people to join our network
5. Open a minimum 2500 square feet warehouse in Colombo to supplement the increased production and the required storage capacity
KEY RESULTS
1.Eshkol to come up with an interactive website that allows customers to make purchases online by the end of December 2018
2. Have identified a suitable warehouse that meets our requirements for storage purpose within Colombo city limits.
3. Requisition letters sent out to a number of selected schools to run our school garden program and have received 20% positive responses by Nov 2018.
